This is a probe designed to be used after your pilot drill to assess the walls of the osteotomy. It helps you check the integrity of the site, detect any perforation, and estimate the depth before proceeding with further widening.
It can also be used along with a quick periapical (PA) X-ray to evaluate the current position and underlying structures.
This probe is commonly used after the pilot stage to understand the bone density and ensure controlled drilling depth, helping to avoid complications such as sinus perforation or nerve involvement.
